Why we built CompliDesk
When the Australian Government announced AML/CTF Tranche 2 reforms, extending obligations to accountants from 1 July 2026 — which is now in effect, we looked at the available software and found a significant gap.
Existing AML compliance tools were designed for organisations managing their own obligations. They weren't designed for the practical workflows used by many Australian Tranche 2 businesses, advisors and professional service firms.
As a practising Australian accountant, we understood this problem firsthand. Our clients were calling asking what to do about Tranche 2. We needed a tool that let us manage AML compliance across all of them — efficiently, professionally, and in a way we could bill for. That tool didn't exist. So we built it.
